My mom was always sewing. The button jar is something I remember very clearly. Funny what you remember about childhood. It seems like such a little thing, but it was fun to dump them all out and sort them.

This image has been quite an experiment! I’ve dabbled with a few small ones that turned out well, then I decided to jump right in an try a large one. Although I’m happy with the way it turned out there will be a few things I do differently on the next one.

This image is printed on white Stonehenge printmaking paper with oil based inks. I then hand-painted areas to bring the piece to life.
